The Teachings of Red Feather
Life or death.
It sounds cliché, but that is really the only choice we ever make. This simple choice, which we make thousands of times a day, is usually cloaked in the metaphors of common day-to-day activity, but every decision, every thought, every utterance works to further one or the other end.
The teachings of Red Feather are unique. Drawing on the wisdom of generations, he teaches the balance of spiritual life and how it looks, as people that he instructs step through the “self-based ego,” what we call the human condition, to a higher, ego-less existence.
This idea has been spoken of for generations. It has been handed down, father to son, for centuries among the Native American and Jewish cultures. The words and rituals may change, but the underlying spirit remains the same that the great spiritual works — such as the Tanach, the Kabbalah, the Zohar, the Koran, the Christian Bible, the Bhagavad Gita and the Tipitaka — consider.
But it is difficult to avoid this trap that so many fall into, this pit we call life. Collectively, we worship so many idols, chief among them ourselves, that it’s no wonder we wander aimlessly.
Red Feather shows us, through many steps, how we can have what is called “heaven” here today, by revealing our misconceptions of what life is, and replacing them with the very presence of our creator upon our temple the Body. Red Feather helps us understand what appears to be many paths but brings us to the one that has been laid out for us by our creator. It is by no other means we can live with true righteousness, where there is no right or wrong nor left or right.
Red Feather explains the many different ideas to this approach and allows us to see our one choice which we make countless times a day; the choice between life and death.
